Belkis NYC is an online marketing tool created specifically to independent artists. The website officially opened in January of 2009 to provide marketing tips, ideas, and strategies for its readers. Belkis NYC seeks to open opportunities for all artists to have their works recognized by the public.

Belkis is best known for being the co-host of The Comic Book Novice radio show on the Long Island station, WGBB, and being the cover model for the Novastar Studios 2009 Fantasy Illustration Calendar. After leaving the radio show, she concentrated on producing strategies for online marketing.

The work on my graphic novel Eternal is going slowloy but surely, as I'm the only person working on it right now. I'm doing the pencils, cleaning up, toning and lettering as well as the CG coverart. I want to try to get the whole first volume done by myself. I figured it would be more of an accomplishment that way :) Well, feel free to drop by anytime, I'm updating new pages onto the Session 3 gallery as I finish them. I meet so many people who want to write or draw comics, but they can't actually meet or talk to people in real life without being woefully unprofessional or worse, gawking fanboy. It's all about the networking first . After that comes talent. Then the crossroads of those two make or break you.
