What is ComicSpace?
ComicSpace is a social networking site for comic fans and creators. It's kind of like MySpace, but for comic enthusiasts.
What is my ComicSpace URL?
Assuming you've signed up and confirmed your membership, simply add your username to the end of www.comicspace.com. For example, if your username is josh (which it isn't because that's my username), you can access your ComicSpace at www.comicspace.com/josh. It's recommended that you use all lowercase letters in the URL.
How do comments and replies work?
1. You can post a comment or reply to a comment on your own ComicSpace.
2. You can post a comment or reply to a comment on any of your friend's ComicSpaces.
3. Replies to comments are filed away under the original comment and can be viewed by clicking on the "Replies" link under the comment.
4. Newest comments and comments with the most recent replies are displayed first.
5. You can view the comments you've posted to your friends' ComicSpaces by clicking on the "From" link on your ComicSpace.
Bulletins are messages that are distributed to multiple recipients.
Who can send me bulletins?
You'll receive bulletins from users who you've "befriended". In other words, everyone listed on your friends page under the "My Friends" or "Befriendifications (from me)" tabs.Who receives my bulletins?
When you post a bulletin, it goes out to every user who has "befriended" you. In other words, everyone listed on your friends page under the "My Friends" or "Befriendifications (from others)" tabs.
When a user posts a bulletin, the bulletin will be set to private unless the user checks a box to make it available to the public. If you want to view a private bulletin, you must "befriend" the user.
BBCode is a lightweight markup language that can be used to format certain areas of your space as well as comments you post to your friend's spaces. You can disable BBCode in comments posted to your space by logging in to your space and clicking on Manage Account.
User tags are a way for users to identify their connection to the comics industry. Members may attach up to ten tags to their profile. Tags are browsable from the Tag List page.
Why can't I add my city and state to my user profile?
I'm trying to keep the locations data as accurate and organized as possible, which means assembling a list of states/provinces for each country. When you select your country from the drop down menu on your "Manage Profile" page, three new fields (City/Town, State/Province and Zip/Postal Code) will appear IF there is a state/province list for your country. If you want to help speed things along, you can send me a list of the states/provinces in your country.
How does my friends list work?
You can "befriend" any other user, which allows you to receive that user's bulletins, both public and private. However, you and the user will not appear on each other's friends lists or be able to exchange private messages or comments unless the user befriends you.
To manage your friends list, login to your ComicSpace and click on "Manage Friends" at the bottom of your friends box. You'll see a set of tabs at the top of the page...
- My Friends: The users in this section have befriended you, and you have befriended them. You will receive each other's bulletins, and may exchange private messages and comments.
- My Top List: This is where you manage your top list of friends. You can add up to 50 friends to your top list. Friends added to your top list are displayed on your main ComicSpace page.
- Befriendifications (from me): You have befriended the users in this section, but they have not yet befriended you. You will receive all bulletins posted by these users, but you won't be able to exchange private messages or comments unless they befriend you.
- Befriendifications (from others) : The users in this section have befriended you, but you have not yet befriended them. These users will receive all your bulletins, but you won't be able to exchange private messages or comments unless you befriend them.
- Blocked: You have blocked the users in this section. They cannot befriend you and you cannot befriend them unless you unblock them.
Can I specify which friends are shown on my main ComicSpace page?
By default, your newest friends are displayed on your main ComicSpace page. If you want to display specific friends on your main page, go to your main ComicSpace page and click on "Manage Top List", or click on the "My Top List" tab on your friends page. You can add up to 50 friends to your top list. Friends added to your top list are displayed on your main ComicSpace page.
Friend tags allow you to organize your friends list. You can add one or more tags to any or all of the users in your friends sections.
Can anyone else see my friend tags?
Nope. Only you can see them.
How do I remove a tag from one of my friends?

3. Select the user(s) you want to remove

[img]http://www.url_to_your_image[/img]
