You're probably asking yourself several questions right now... "Who is Josh Roberts?"... "What's his connection to ComicSpace?"... "Why does he look so much like Samurai Jack?"... I grew up in rural Maine climbing pine trees and eating potatoes. After failing miserably at everything, I finally managed to fail at failure by succeeding when I started OnlineComics.net in 2001, and then ComicSpace in 2006. I now control 179% of the web comics market and plan to use my powers for evil. Oh, and my bulldog is evil too. She was born on 06/06/06. No joke.

I tried signing using Hotmail (10/30/08), but never received the activation email. I checked both my "Inbox" and my "Junk" folders, but nothing (they were empty so it was easy to tell if I'd have gotten new mail). I then used Gmail, and it worked. |

Hey Josh,
If I could make one suggestion, it would be to add a feature that lets users know they have new friend requests and private messages waiting for them. There is nothing more frustrating to send someone a message (especially business related) and to see that it goes unread while they have logged in since it was sent... I understand that in the preferences you can set it up to email you when these occurrences happen, but would a mailbox similar to MySpace/Facebook be too much to ask? Thanks,

Hey Josh, are the counters ever coming back to our galleries? They are to my mind the most useful tool that use to be on your site. Without them we have no idea how many, if any people are stopping by and taking a look. What's up with them? You said you'd be bring them back after you made the transfer to the new servers. That was a year ago. Still a great site, but as a tool half of what it could be if we had the counters. |
